UNIQLO Mall Of Asia Honors Everyday Filipino Life As It Marks The Second Anniversary Of Its Redefined Space

UNIQLO marks the second anniversary of its redefined Mall of Asia store with a week-long celebration from June 12 to 18 as a tribute to the everyday stories, symbols, and journeys that shape Filipino culture. Inspired by the rhythm of the streets and the spirit of community, the celebration honors the people and moments that keep Filipino life moving forward. 

At its heart is a series of exclusive experiences drawn from the iconic jeepney—reimagining its vibrant signboards as expressions of resilience, creativity, and connection rooted in local transport culture. 

A tribute to Filipino street culture through personal expression 

From June 12 to 14, Mall of Asia customers can create their own jeepney signage-inspired shirts through UTMe! customization. Each design is illustrated on-site by Filipino visual storyteller Kulas Jalea and three fellow local artists, whose shared folk-inspired style captures the humor and energy of everyday Filipino life. With limited slots available via pre-registration, customers can personalize their shirts with their own words or phrases rendered in a jeepney signboard style, turning familiar expressions into bold, one-of-a-kind pieces. UTMe! customization participants will also receive a complimentary jeepney signage sticker pack, featuring ready-made Filipino expressions like “Extra Rice Please” and “Petsa de Peligro,” paired with iconic designs like “Manila Philippines” and jeepney motifs. RE.UNIQLO embroidery of the jeepney designs are also available, offering another way to add a distinct, personal touch to everyday LifeWear.
