MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The highly anticipated vivo 3×3 Basketball Challenge made a spectacular comeback on July 21, 2024, kicking off its first leg at the SM City Fairview.
The energy was extraordinary as mall goers, basketball enthusiasts, and supporters gathered to witness the thrilling matches that unfolded throughout the day.
The event began with opening remarks from Glenn Chiu, the representative of vivo, who warmly welcomed everyone and expressed gratitude for their presence. Chiu announced that players can win the latest vivo smartphones and a cash prize of up to Php 30,000.

Exciting games of 16 teams from the Men’s and Women’s Divisions
The event featured fierce competition among 16 teams, evenly split between the men’s and women’s divisions. Each division was further divided into two pools, POOL A and POOL B, where teams competed in a single round-robin elimination round.
The first four teams from the Women’s Division made their passion and determination evident during the opening, making the first games exhilarating to watch.
The next four teams from the Men’s Division also showed their excitement with competitive games that attracted even more audiences from the crowd.
As the competition heated up and followed by the next electrifying games, the audience was treated to a display of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship from all the participating teams.
The team with the most wins in each pool advanced to the next round, with the ultimate goal of moving on to the Grand Finals that will happen in August.
Exciting performances and raffles for the mall goers and game watchers
The NU (National University) Dance Company added to the excitement by delivering two sensational dance performances that hyped the crowd and kept the energy levels high throughout the event.
The dancers’ dynamic moves and vibrant energy captivated the audience, setting the perfect tone for the day as they left a lasting impression on everyone who watched them.
Game watchers were encouraged by vivo to register at the front booth. Chosen winners from the raffle took home vivo tumblers, earbuds, and speakers.
The raffle added a fun and interactive element to the event, ensuring that everyone, not just the basketball fans, had a memorable experience.
