Samsonite marks a new milestone in its journey with the opening of the latest standalone Samsonite Black Label store in the Philippines
As the worldwide leader in superior travel bags, luggage, and accessories, Samsonite has built a reputation over more than a century for combining notable style with the latest design technology and the utmost attention to quality and durability. Since its founding in 1910, the brand has continuously delivered products that meet the on-the-go lifestyle needs of the modern business professional.
With a 115-year track record of creativity and craftsmanship, Samsonite remains an established key player in the global luggage market. In 2005, the company re-emphasized the premium it places on style and refinement by launching Samsonite Black Label, a luxurious collection of craftsman-made bags and cases designed for today’s modern travelers. The range perfectly balances design, technology, and aspiration across three core areas: Retro & Classic, Fashion-forward, and Business.

The brand marks a new milestone in its journey with the opening of the latest standalone Samsonite Black Label store in the Philippines. Located at The Shoppes at Solaire, the boutique offers a dedicated space for the brand’s most exclusive and refined travel collections. It introduces Filipino customers to the elevated world of Samsonite Black Label, a line known globally for its fusion of design innovation and luxury craftsmanship.
Designed with a clean, modern aesthetic, the store reflects the sophistication of the Samsonite Black Label experience. The layout highlights the brand’s attention to detail and offers a space where customers can explore premium travel essentials in an environment tailored for refined tastes.
“This opening represents more than just a retail expansion—it is a statement of our commitment to bring the world-class luxury and innovation of Samsonite Black Label to discerning Filipino travelers,” said SSI Group, Inc. president and CEO Anton Huang. “Through this new space, we are proud to offer local customers access to Samsonite’s most premium collections, where heritage, craftsmanship, and cutting-edge design come together.”

A Legacy of Style, Craftsmanship, and Collaboration
Over the years, Samsonite Black Label has partnered with some of the world’s most iconic fashion leaders, industrial designers, and trendsetters, further cementing its place in the high-end travel space. In 2005, industrial designer Marc Newson introduced the Scope series, showcasing futuristic technology and vibrant colors. The following year, British designer Matthew Williamson crafted a limited edition Signat attaché, showcasing his signature flair.
In 2007, British fashion icon Alexander McQueen brought his avant-garde style to the collection, marking a key milestone for the brand. The innovation continued in 2008 with a tribute to Jesse Shwayder’s original 1910 trunk, adorned with Swarovski crystals. That same year, Viktor & Rolf’s collaboration added an element of surprise, followed by a partnership with McLaren Formula 1 from 2009 to 2010, fusing luxury with high-performance engineering.
