Pristine Paradigm celebrates second anniversary with new collections at its first solo pop‐up in Manila

On July 31st, Pristine Paradigm, the pioneering Davao-grown jewelry brand known for its lab-grown gemstones and ethical craftsmanship, marked its second anniversary with its first solo pop-up in Manila at Open House World.

The celebration was set against a backdrop of botanical tablescapes and gemstone-inspired design cues, where guests enjoyed sunset aperitivo featuring Davao ingredients such pomelo and cacao through custom durian chocolate in collaboration with Cacao de Davao, and personal color analysis by Paoie Minerales—all designed to mirror the brand’s approach to slow luxury. Local DJs Margachi, Xi, Wax, and Dignos curated soulful sets as founders engaged with friends from the media, customers, and patrons for an intimate day of discovery and an exclusive shopping experience.

From an immersive pop-up that showcased three new gemstones alongside archival collections, to the launch of new community initiatives, year two is shining brighter than ever for Pristine Paradigm.

“Where Sustainability Meets Luxury”

Founded by Katriana Batu and Juni Rollan, the brand has carved a new standard for modern Filipino luxury—one rooted in purpose, intention, and beauty that gives back.

This milestone is more than a celebration of years; it’s a reflection of how far the brand has come in building a movement rooted in community and sustainability. “We didn’t build fast; we built mindfully. And that’s what I’m proudest of,” shares Batu, who juggles her roles as a founder, pageant titleholder, and farm steward. “What keeps us grounded is knowing we’ve stayed true to our core. Pristine Paradigm was born from the desire to prove that elegance and ethics can go hand-in-hand.

Recently crowned Pag-Asa ng Dabaw 2025, Katriana uses pageantry as a platform to drive conversations around climate resilience and community-rooted change. Her upbringing on a family farm in Davao shapes both her lifestyle and the brand’s ethos. “Farming, jewelry, and advocacy may seem worlds apart—but for me, they’re all ways of creating beauty that gives back,” she adds.

Since the early days, Pristine Paradigm has stood for more than just fine laboratory-grown jewelry. “We’ve always envisioned a brand that reflects our personal values,” shares the co-founder.

The New Collection

The second anniversary milestone introduces a new collection highlighting three new lab-grown gemstones – each carrying a story of innovation and intent:

Lab Alexandrite: A color-changing marvel symbolizing transformation. A rare and beautiful gemstone that changes color under different lighting, from greenish-blue to reddish-purple. Lab-grown Alexandrite offers the brilliance of natural alexandrite at a more accessible price point. Its color-changing nature makes it a unique choice for customers seeking something truly distinctive in engagement rings or fine jewelry.

Lab Paraiba: Bold, neon beauty with a sustainable core. Lab-grown Paraiba is a vibrant, neon blue to green gemstone that captures the stunning beauty of its natural counterpart but without the high cost and environmental impact. Known for its intense color and rarity, lab-grown Paraiba is a perfect choice for customers looking for something bold and extraordinary.

Lab Aquamarine: Serene, ocean-hued elegance for modern classics. Lab-grown Aquamarine embodies the calming, translucent blue of the ocean. As a symbol of serenity and clarity, Aquamarine is perfect for engagement rings, necklaces, and earrings. Its light blue, transparent hues are perfect for elegant designs.

Alongside the gemstone showcase, the founders also unveiled Pristine Paradigm’s first Men’s Collection—a thoughtful expansion into gender-inclusive design anchored in quiet strength and refined detail. “As promise rings for women grew more popular, we received more inquiries about men’s promise rings too. Customers were also looking for simple, meaningful jewelry men could wear everyday or to events. We noticed the men’s variant of the couple rings would always get sold individually, so we also tested a signet ring and Cuban bracelet. Both met great interest, which encouraged us to expand further.” shares Juni. For Katriana though, she personally wanted to get her partner (Juni) to wear jewelry, and that pushed them both to create pieces that men could connect with: stylish and subtle.

The Pristine Care

A new milestone for “The Pristine Care”, the brand’s official community engagement arm, was the official contract signing of Pristine Paradigm’s partnership with the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF). For every engagement ring sold, this purchase contributes to tree planting efforts—with each tree named after the customer and tracked via PEF’s “Track Your Tree” platform. The ceremonial signing between both organizations was witnessed during the intimate press lunch by Chef Martin Laurel.

Looking Ahead

From its beginnings in Davao to international orders and its first solo pop-up in Manila, the brand has grown with purpose and continues to give back along the way. The founders hint at a Manila showroom and plans for regional pop-ups in Cebu, CDO, and beyond, including sustainability workshops and advocacy-led experiences.

We’ve always believed in intentional growth,” shares co-founder Rollan. “We want every milestone to reflect our values – and to involve the people who’ve believed in us from day one. To us, this means we’ve built something meaningful—not just a brand, but a community based on trust. Our transparency in pricing, sourcing, and production has allowed us to grow a loyal audience.

With two years of timeless, ethical design behind them, Pristine Paradigm invites all to celebrate beauty that gives back.
