Philippine Army heralds Yuletide Season with launch of “Pasko ng Sundalong Pilipino”

The Philippine Army ushered in the yuletide season with the launch of a simple “Pasko ng Sundalong Pilipino”-themed Army-Wide Christmas Lighting Ceremony held simultaneously across all Army units on December 01, 2025. The event was attended by Army personnel with their families.
The lighting ceremony which was led by the Commanding General Philippine Army, Lieutenant General Antonio G. Nafarrete, focused on values of family unity, community resilience, and disciplined austerity, underscoring the Army’s commitment to honoring Filipino traditions while upholding responsible and mission-oriented resource management.
In Headquarters Philippine Army in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, Philippine Army Officers, Enlisted Personnel, Civilian Human Resource, and their families gathered to witness the symbolic lighting of Christmas displays. The unified event exemplifies hope, solidarity, and the Army’s steadfast dedication to serving the Filipino people, especially during the holiday season.
As the Army marks the start of the season, it also deeply remembers and honors the troops who cannot go home these holidays to ensure the safety of the entire nation.
The Philippine Army continues to shine as a pillar of strength and compassion for the Filipino people. As lights brighten Army camps across, they reflect the warmth, unity, and shared purpose that bind every soldier, family member, and civilian partners. Beyond the festivities, the Army emphasizes its pledge to serve with heart, humility, and integrity ensuring that the spirit of giving and bayanihan lives on throughout the holiday season and beyond.
