Father’s Day is a celebration honoring fathers as well as celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society; complementing the commemoration of Mother’s Day in May.

In many countries, Father’s Day is celebrated in the the third Sunday of June – which falls on the 17th this year – among them the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, India, China, Japan, South Africa, and the Philippines.
