A 1990s Icon Returns to the Spotlight

The Lacoste LT 125 is a tribute to innovation, victory, and the quest to push beyond limitations

Bold, Lacoste LT 125—an icon of the past returns to the forefront. Bottling the spirit of a true 90s icon, this refined sneaker shines with new design details and an on-trend aesthetic. It is the ideal choice for those looking for a lifestyle silhouette with a strong tennis inspiration.

The shoe pays tribute to Lacoste’s rich history and heritage. Lacoste’s DNA is rooted on the tennis court; it is where the dream started. Back in 1991, Guy Forget—the French tennis legend—was unbeatable there; a storm, a giant. He won six single titles including the Davis Cup (with the French team) and ATP Masters, defeating Pete Sampras. And, for each win, he wore the original LT 125 sneaker. The LT range was a watershed; a shoe that changed the game set a new standard and shaped the future. The big story was the balance of stability and freedom of movement; thanks to the heel stabilizers, the outsole traction zones and pivot points, the reinforced toe end, and the rigid lace keeper. Born from innovation, the LT range was authenticated by victory.

The LT 125 is born from the spirit of winning and innovation that defined the LT 125 OG. It brings the concept of “future tennis” to life, questioning —as the original LT 125 did back in the 1990s—the limits of the game, and the potential for even greater success. The new LT 125 nods to the textures of tennis; the toweling and nylon. On the sides and front of the shoe, a stunning semi-translucent nylon with a net texture pays homage to the motifs and props of the game; a play on performance codes. The LT 125 also has a sleek leather upper, with perforated panels, and an elegant pleated nylon tongue. There is also a rigid lace keeper, and the signature reinforced toe end and heel stabilizer from the OG shoe. From the side of the shoe, on innovative translucent TPU, the Lacoste crocodile shines; a winner, an icon. Available in a dynamic range of hues, the hero colorway is white, nodding, of course, to the signature hue of tennis apparel; the bright flash of a moving player on the court.

This shoe nods to the 1990s—currently, a huge fashion and cultural influence—drawing on the past to reinvent the future. Lacoste knows the meaning and the emotional resonance of heritage. The LT 125 shows an understanding of the fact that modernity is not just built from the new, from change, but from curating distinct elements from across time and culture to craft a fresh attitude that provokes and inspires. The LT 125 looks forward by looking back. It offers the ultimate in sporting elegance; a sleek, timeless appearance that feels as fresh now as it did when it broke boundaries in the 1990s. The LT 125 is rich in history, and refined in look. This is a sneaker that crosses generations, shifts games, and redefines greatness.
