Smiles, Christmas carols, gift giving and a spread of feasts and treats were the highlights at the recently-held Christmas tree lighting at Marriott Hotel Manila.

Magical Christmas Tree with Fairies

Not to be missed is the 26-foot Christmas tree at the hotel lobby. Its gold ornaments are enhanced by beautiful fairy dolls that seem to spread pixie dust to those who wish for great success or luck. As more and more people came to admire the tree and hold the fairy dolls, a lady clad in glistening attire surprised the guests. Tessa Prieto-Valdez, the ever-gracious host, continued the Christmas cheer and introduced General Manager Bruce Winton who welcomed the guests and briefly discussed Marriott’s holiday offerings.

Magical Feast and Treats

While everyone indulged on savories and sweets created by Executive Chef Meik Brammer and his kitchen team, guests admired the graceful performance of little ballerina, Sage Espiritu. After a few twists and turns, she handed the magic wand to Marian Rivera-Dantes. And with one swing from of the wand, it’s as if magic was spread at the hotel’s lobby—the splendid Christmas tree was lit and left everyone in awe, Himig Roseña choral serenaded the guests with delightful Christmas carols, Santa Claus and his fairy friends came down the elegant staircase and shared presents from his red sack, and the gingerbread man and the snowman mascots hugged kids and adults alike!

Magic of Giving

Christmas is a time for giving. Also present during the celebration were the students and administrators of the Philippine School for the Deaf, Marriott Hotel Manila’s beneficiary. This year, the hotel will help raise funds to jumpstart a construction of additional dormitories to accommodate more indigent students. Every purchase of Rio, the Unicorn, will aid in this advocacy. The limited edition stuffed toy is available at the life-size gingerbread train at the hotel lobby for only P500.
