McDonald’s inspires kids to dream big in the launch of the Happy Meal Readers “I Can” book series

Every outstanding personality—from scientists to athletes and artists—started as a child with a dream. This is what’s captured in the new McDonald’s Happy Meal Readers “I Can” book series. Launched on March 10, the new range of books features the inspiring stories of sports champions, curious scientists, and brave adventurers— people who went on to do great things, but started just like everyone else: as a child with a dream.

To officially launch the new books, McDonald’s Philippines brought together children of all ages to the “I Can Dream Big” event in McDonald’s U.N. Del Pilar. Held on March 16, the event transformed the Play Place into a labyrinth of dream-inspiring activities based on the three new books of the “I Can” book series, namely the Color Lab booth for future scientists, the Sports Center booth with a punching pad, and the Explorer Pit for adventurers. The culmination of the event was the live reading of the “I Can Be a Sports Champion” book led by Steph Ongkiko as the storyteller. In this first book of the series, children will learn from the inspiring stories of tennis player Evonne Goolagong, racing driver Ayrton Senna, and boxer Muhammad Ali.
