Made For The Slopes: Michael Kors announces second collaboration with Ellesse

Coming off the success of their inaugural collaboration, iconic American fashion brand Michael Kors and luxe Italian sportswear brand Ellesse have teamed up for a special ski capsule. Fronted by Emily Ratajkowski, who starred in the collaboration’s launch, and model David Agbodji, the campaign’s chic après-ski images bring the collection’s vibrant, sporty and glamorous designs to life. The campaign was shot by photographer Daniel Clavero and styled by Mel Ottenberg, editor-in-chief of the cult pop magazine Interview.

The new Michael Kors x Ellesse capsule offers a vivid take on ski resort style. Evoking the bold attitude and confident cool of a day on the slopes, the capsule is emblazoned with a one-of-a-kind insignia that fuses Michael Kors’ iconic logo with Ellesse’s tennis-and-ski-inspired one.

Ellesse is a trailblazer in bringing high style to the world of skiing, and I’ve always designed clothing and accessories that combine glamour and ease. I’m thrilled with the capsule of luxe, glamorous sportswear that we’ve collaborated on—it works perfectly whether you’re at the ski lodge or hitting the city streets,” says Michael Kors.

Established in 1959 in Italy by tailor Leonardo Servadio, Ellesse was initially inspired by the previously unknown concept of style-conscious skiwear and this core has underpinned the brand ever since. Since then, Ellesse has now become globally renowned as the original sports fashion brand, recognized for its high-quality, bold, and colorful sportswear apparel and footwear, enabling its wearer to express their style with confidence., with the brand also available in more than 54 other territories internationally.

Keeping with the fresh color combinations of the first Michael Kors x Ellesse collaboration, Ellesse’s signature palette of fiery oranges and reds is juxtaposed with classic shades of navy blue and crisp white. Color-blocked pullovers, jackets, and puffer vests pair with striped track pants, leggings, mittens, and ribbed beanies to tap into classic ski style. Collab interpretations of Kors’ must-have Hudson backpack, Slater sling pack, and Hudson tote are high-impact accessories with built-in versatility, ideal for on-the-go ease.

Ellesse was born on the slopes. The Ellesse and Michael Kors collection combines the Italian flair of Ellesse with the glamour and luxe that is unique to the Michael Kors philosophy to create looks that work on the slopes and the street—bringing effortless style and sharp tailoring to après ski,” says Simon Breckon, Brand Director of Ellesse.
