Old school gems meet new school trends. It’s a showcase of two eras coming together—from the 80s to the current decade—to create a culture that’s enduring and iconic.

Glorietta brings newtro to the forefront at its first-ever SneakerFest. Anyone including sneakerheads and non-sneakerheads can shop for great pairs at awesome deals, join challenges to win exciting prizes, channel their inner artist, skate at Vans’ mini indoor skate park, groove to the hippest beats, and join sneaker talks featuring renowned personalities to uncover the latest trends and the future of footwear.

Cop the latest drops and best deals for kicks and vinyl records

Now is the best time to browse and shop for the perfect pair of kicks because SneakerFest 2022 at Glorietta is bringing together ANTA, Birkenstock, Converse, Keds, Native, New Balance, Res|Toe|Run, Saucony, Sperry, and TOMS to showcase their brands’ latest collections and offer exclusive deals weeklong. Meanwhile, vinyl collectors can update their music library as they browse through the albums for sale at the Glorietta Activity Center from April 30 to May 1.

In addition, Birkenstock collaborated with visual artist Bryan Yabut to customize two premium styles (Kyoto and Bend Low shoes) as his canvas. The items are displayed at SneakerFest for all to see.

Win prizes at the Scavenger Hunt

Those looking for a challenge can join the SneakerFest Scavenger Hunt, where they can win exclusive prizes! Just download the Zing! App, register and sign up as a Zing!Plus member, and look for hidden QR codes within the SneakerFest set up at the Glorietta Activity Center. Once found and scanned, the participant must spin the roulette and present the result with proof of their Zing! Plus membership at the redemption booth to claim their prize.

Vans is also giving away one pair of Vans footwear to four lucky winners. To join, participants must upload their best selfie or groupie with Vans Philippines’ product display at the Glorietta Activity Center. The image should be posted on the participant’s Facebook and Instagram pages along with the tag @VansPhilippines and hashtag #VansxGloriettaSneakerFest. Entry submissions continue from April 23 to May 1; while the announcement of winners will be on May 5.

Capital is giving away gift certificates worth P500 each to the first 200 registrants at SneakerFest 2022. To qualify, the registrants must be members of Zing! and should like and follow Glorietta and Capital Philippines on Facebook and Instagram.

Customize shoes and skate at The Lizzie Mini Ramp Experience

Sneakerheads can unleash their inner creativity at Vans’ customization booth. Patrons are free to customize pairs on their own or ask help from a Vans Artist. The artist will be at the Vans booth on April 23, 24, April 30, and May 1 only.

The perfect pair of skate shoes require an epic skate experience. Vans recreates a skate park at the Glorietta Activity Center with The Lizzie Mini Ramp Experience. Named after the first Vans Pro skate shoe model by Lizzie Armanto, the ramp invites all skateboard enthusiasts to open sessions on April 24 to 28, and May 1. The ramp will also be used for the Vans Skate Skool on April 29 to 30; the program will teach basic skills to kids and women who want to learn how to skateboard.The Vans set up culminates with a video premiere of The Lizzie Wear Test on May 1.

Groove to the hippest beats

Oftentimes, the best way to introduce a new style, idea, or culture is through music. SneakerFest visitors are all welcome to vibe to the beat that uncovers what newtro is all about.

Rammy Bitong pumped up the crowd with a live performance at the official launch of SneakerFest 2022 on April 23, inevitably setting the mood for what’s to come in the next few days.

On April 30, Damson Lavander, Suspiria Pink, Ena Mori, and Ean Mayor are taking the stage with hour-long sets respectively from 3PM to 8PM.To cap off SneakerFest 2022, DJ Skratchmark is spinning live on May 1 at 5PM to 7PM.

Take a peek into local talent and streetwear

Purveyr put up a one-of-a-kind t-shirt exhibit featuring 16 Filipino streetwear brands: Nobody, Thank You, Episodes, Kltrd, Enimal, Dbtk, Cafe City Club, Gnarly!, Coziest, Proudrace, We Drool, Wednesday, Medium, Daily Grind, Snk Atk, and Spectre. What began as small independent brands are rapidly flourishing and are now being given the opportunity to share about Filipino culture through the lens of streetwear brands. Patrons can also dig deeper by tuning in to Purveyr’s culminating discussion on April 30 at 5PM.

Uncover the latest trends and the future of footwear

ANTA Philippines headlined SneakerFest’s official kickoff on April 23. ANTA brought the internationally-renowned Filipino Physical Therapist and Wellness Expert in the NBA, Dr. Edwin Benedict Valencia, to the stage to discuss about athletic shoes, shoe technology, and the future of sneakers. Along with him was ANTA athlete Andre Paras, as well as radio DJ CJ Rivera, who shared their thoughts on all things sneakers. What’s more, the launch included a one-day ANTA exhibit, which featured limited edition and never before seen signature sneakers.
