Marriott, Sheraton and Courtyard Welcomes the Festive Season thru Facebook Live


Host KC Montero, Multi-property Vice President Bruce Winton, and Santa led the Christmas Tree Lighting at Marriott Hotel Manila.

Last November 4 via Facebook Live, all the Marriott hotels in the Philippines namely Manila Marriott, Sheraton Manila, Clark Marriott, Sheraton Manila Bay, and Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo has united for another simultaneous virtual Christmas tree lighting. Once again, host KC Montero livened up the event while the executives of each hotel gave a glimpse of their exclusive offers for the holidays such as their Christmas hampers, festive treats, feast packages, dining, and staycations promotions. Santa also made an appearance to greet everyone who’s tuning in. Adding to the excitement are staycation vouchers from all participating hotels given away to the viewers.

Apart from the festivities, all five hotels continues to give back to the community. Manila Marriott, Sheraton Manila, and Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo curates a Charity Hamper—a plush robe, two pairs of indoor slippers, and towel set complete with a tote bag. The proceeds from this initiative will help provide Noche Buena for families from Save the Children Philippines. In addition, Goeran Soelter, General Manager of Clark Marriott and the Chairman of the Marriott Business Council Philippines invites everyone to join Run to Give, the annual virtual charity run that aims to raise funds for the Marriott Associate Welfare Fund and the said beneficiary.

Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo’s Chief Engineer Jonas Carrillo, Executive Chef Chachpol Suaisom, Front Office Manager Marichu Lopez, Cluster Director of Sales Joy Alonte, Assistant Director of Finance Marlon Galo, Housekeeping Manager Michael Del Mar, Loss Prevention Manager Raul Fernandez light up the tree.

Apart from Save the Children, Courtyard Iloilo has partnered with SOS Children’s Village and has opened their doors as a drop off point for donations for more than 100 children in the community. Meanwhile, Sheraton Manila Bay has partnered with World Wide Fund where for every purchase of their Sheraton Luxury Hamper you get to adopt a Signature Panda Plushie and support the organization’s nature conservation projects. They also have Plantable Cards of Care embedded with seed in which all the proceeds will go to Barangay 699 Children Fund and Aurora Quezon Elementary School, and lastly the Sheraton CommuniTREE, a tree-planting project where donations go to their reforestation and biodiversity efforts.

For every purchase of the Charity Hamper, one child from Save the Children will receive a Noche Buena. The hamper includes a piece of Sheraton Manila’s bathrobe, Manila Marriott’s bath towel, a Marriott Bonvoy eco bag, and two pairs of Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo’s bedroom slippers—all these for P2,500 nett.

Atty. Alberto Muyot, Chief Executive Officer of Save the Children Philippines with the Chairman of Marriott Worldwide Business Council – Philippines, Goeran Soelter. Soelter  has spearheaded the Virtual Run to Give that happened last year for the benefit of Save the Children Philippines and to raise funds for the Marriott Disaster Relief Fund to support the company’s own associates, families and communities during times of calamities and emergencies.
