MANILA MARRIOTT OFFICIALLY WELCOMES THE FESTIVE SEASON WITH TREE LIGHTING

 

The Manila Ballroom was transformed to a Pinoy Carnival by Claudine Sycip of Do Me a Favor.

 

 

 

From the life-size gingerbread train carrying festive goodies and hampers, a captivating ballet performance to the 20 ft-high stunning Christmas tree—Marriott Manila kicks off the festive season in a spectacle!

Last November 7, KC Montero opened the night with his witty antics, followed by Ballet Philippines’ performance of the Nutcracker. As the countdown begins, the kids from Save the Children along with their Ambassador Katarina Rodriguez, and Cluster General Manager for Marriott Manila, Sheraton Hotel Manila, and Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo, Bruce Winton, led the tree lighting ceremony and lit up the decorations. Christmas carols echoed through the halls and there came Santa, walking down the staircase, greeting the children and all the guests a Merry Christmas. But the festivities did not end there! Santa invited the guests to the Manila Ballroom which was transformed into a Pinoy Carnival complete with gaming booths from the popular Coin Toss, Pop the Balloon, Color Game, Ring Toss, and Shoot the Can.

 

 

 

Oversized lollipops and colorful Christmas treats filled the buffet table.

 

 

 

Ballet Philippines’ opened the night with a spectacular performance of The Sugar Plum and Nut Cracker.

 

 

 

The underprivileged children of the community of Pasay was invited by Marriott thru Save the Children Organization.

 

 

 

Guests were entertained by Limerence Duo’s acrobatic performance and heart-stopping stunts. These dancers from Belarus performs weekly at the Grand Bar of Resorts World Manila.

The stunning 20 ft-high Christmas tree at the hotel lobby was adorned with styled dried leaves and recycled trimmings matched with glittering rose gold and silver accent.

 

 

 

Be welcomed by the scent of the holidays with the edible life-size gingerbread train loaded Manila Marriott’s festive treats available for purchase.

Marriott’s culinary team also showcased their colorful Christmas-themed desserts such as delectable Christmas log cakes, chocolate pralines, gingerbreads, stollen bread, holiday nougat bites, and a lot of chocolate goodies. Guests enjoyed the chicken sisig, roasted maple glazed bone in leg of pork served with potato wedges, and other side dishes.
