Marriott Worldwide Business Council donated Php 283,540 to Save the Children during Run To Give, a charity running event done annually by Asia Pacific by Marriott International. This year the charity run was simultaneously conducted with Resorts World Manila’s Run With Me that happened last August 25 at the Mall of Asia Grounds.
Cluster General Manager Bruce Winton and Cluster Director of Marketing Communications Michelle Garcia of Marriott Hotel Manila, Sheraton Manila, and Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo, General Manager of Sheraton Manila Anna Vergara, and General Manager of Clark Marriott Goeran Soelter, officially presented the donation to Save the Children Ambassador Katarina Rodri during the event along with Resorts World Manila’s Executive Vice President Steven Riley and celebrity runners, Lovi Poe and CJ Javarata.
Marriott is actively expanding their advocacy through the nationwide program “A Dollar for Change” that allows each guests staying in Marriott Hotel Manila, Sheraton Manila, Marriott Hotel Clark, and Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo to contribute Php50 – the equivalent of a dollar – through their stay to fund initiatives for children in need.
Following Run To Give is the 1st Annual Charity Golf Tournament slated on October 11, 2019 at the Villamor Air Base Golf Club. The 18-hole tournament in scramble format includes golf cart per 2 players, breakfast at Marriott Hotel, complimentary course snacks and beverages, gourmet buffet lunch with premium wines at Marriott Grand Ballroom. Registration is at Marriott West Wing for only Php 5,000. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Save the Children.
