Diamond Hotel Philippines’ Public Relations Assistant for Digital Media and Graphics Reynoso “JR” V. Intertas, Jr. recently bagged the Mabuhay Awards’ Rank and File –  Heart of the House Category during the 21st Mabuhay Awards. The Mabuhay Awards is the most prestigious service award given to the outstanding men and women in the hospitality industry in the Philippines. JR won over other highly competent candidates from participating hotels and restaurants after a tedious selection process by a prominent board of judges.

JR has been in the hotel industry for 3 years and since he started his career, he has been exemplifying excellence and commitment in providing exceptional service. He has assumed different roles in the hotel from doing graphic designs, providing  photography services for marketing and events requirements, to managing the hotel’s digital media platforms and official website.  His contributions, especially in digital marketing, enhanced the hotel’s  online presence.  JR was also the recipient of the Virtus Awards Outstanding Sales & Marketing Associate 2015 by the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association (HSMA).

“Winning the Mabuhay Award as Diamond Hotel’s representative is a great honor because it is a validation of my efforts and hard work. The Mabuhay Awardee title is tantamount to being a role model of excellence to hoteliers and now that I hold this distinction, it serves as a reminder that I should always  be an inspiration to my colleagues,” said JR.

The Mabuhay Awards founded by the Association of Human Resources Managers (AHRM) in the Hospitality Industry, is the most prestigious award so-called as the “Oscars” in the hospitality industry that recognizes outstanding hoteliers and empowers hospitality leaders. This year’s theme is Filipino Hospitality at its Finest that aims to promote outstanding service excellence commitment among Filipino hospitality industry professionals.   The awarding ceremony recognized 52 finalists who are already winners in their respective fields in the managerial, supervisory, front of the house, and heart of the house categories.
