Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu makes playtime more fun for children this summer with Aquaplay, a brand-new playground located next to the main pool.
The brightly colored Aquaplay is specially designed for very young children to enjoy water activities in a safe environment.
Highlights of the interactive facility include three slides, a rainbow shower and a baby bungee. The gently sloping slides provide the thrill of splashing down into shallow water. The rainbow shower is a bow-shaped structure that creates a tunnel effect with soft spray.
There are also strategically placed nozzles that let children create their own water effects.
Most importantly for parents with infants, there is a baby bungee that carries jumpers and is shaded by a fiberglass-domed canopy. This allows babies to get their feet wet as they sit in the bungee-supported jumpers.
The Aquaplay blends seamlessly into the expanded children’s pool, which is nearly three times the size of the original pool.
As safety remains the resort’s top priority, lifeguards and designated recreation staff are posted in the area to ensure that all guests have a relaxing, worry-free experience with their families.
